Owners
Scott Endres and Dean Engelmann are both farm boys, growing up on their families’ farms and learning a love and appreciation of plants, animals, and growing things while preserving the land for future generations. This upbringing helped to develop a strong work ethic, which has not been forgotten as they strive to make their business the very best it can be. They met as horticulture students at the University of Minnesota, became friends, and their friendship continues to grow to this day.

Who we are
We started Wise Acre 10 years ago with the mission of bringing farm fresh food to your table. Although a lot has changed over the last 10 years this mission has stayed consistent.
We believe that one of the best ways we as humans can take care of ourselves is to put good food in our bodies. Food that is local, food that is grown with passion, and food you can trust. Wise Acre can confidently say we provide you with that food because we grow it ourselves and prepare it ourselves.
Wise Acre is always evolving. We now not only offer our amazing grill food but we have a Market & Deli! our farm
Our farm is located just outside of Plato, MN, 45 minutes from our door. We nurture the land and our animals the way mother nature intended. We practice regenerative agriculture which is an integration of plants and animals that is mutually beneficial to them and to the soil on which they reside. We utilize our greenhouse and our aquaponics system to supply year-round fresh food to your plate and our CSA members. Farm-Fresh and chemical free is the only way we know how to grow. Healthy soil=healthy plants=healthy animals=healthy people.
